Today we went to a dog show in Potter’s Bar, Hertfordshire. It was (very well) organised by the Rescue Team Herts.
Hoy hemos ido a un concurso en Potter’s Bar, Hertfordshire. Organizado por el “Rescue Team Herts”.
Our adventure started in King’s Cross, platform 10. I wanted to see if someone disappeared to platform 9 and 3/4, but there’s no space anymore between platforms 9 and 10 (or that’s what they want us to believe!).
La aventura empezó en King’s Cross, en el andén 10. Quería fijarme si alguien desaparecía hacia el andén 9 y 3/4, pero ya no hay espacio entre los andenes 9 y 10 (¡o eso quieren que creamos!).
It took us under 20 minutes to get to Potter’s Bar. Once there, the venue was around 15 minutes walking from the station.
Fueron menos de 20 minutos en tren hasta Potter’s Bar. Luego, unos 15 andando hasta el sitio donde se celebraba el concurso.
I entered Gus in his classes (Best crossbreed and Best trick) and then went to see the stalls and the food. There were charity stalls and raffles, and also a barbecue and cakes, with vegan options, what I found quite nice.
There was also a have-a-go agility, run by White Way Dog Agility.
Apunté a Gus a sus categorías (Mejor mestizo y Mejor “truco”) y luego nos fuimos a ver los puestecitos y qué había de comida. Había varios puestecitos de protectoras, una barbacoa, tartas y con opciones veganas para comer.
También había un ring para probar agility, organizado por White Way Dog Agility.
Among other charities, All Dogs Matter was there. Can you spot Gus with his shirt in the board?

Our classes were at the end of the list, so we sit and enjoyed the other classes until our turn arrived. We didn’t win anything in Best Crossbreed, but our class is always Best trick, and Gus was first!
Nuestras categorías estaban al final del día, así que nos sentamos a ver el resto del concurso. No ganamos nada en Mejor mestizo, pero nuestra categoría es Mejor “truco” ¡y Gus quedó primero!
It was a nice small dog show. Well organized and with things to do, buy and eat while you wait for your class. We will definitely repeat 🙂
Ha sido un buen concurso, pequeñito, pero bien organizado, con cosas para hacer, comprar y comer mientras esperas a tu categoría.
